At your first appointment, we will perform an extensive and comprehensive examination of your teeth, gums, jaw and soft tissues. An oral cancer screening is performed as well. We will also review your medical history so please bring a list of your medications and allergies.
Some patients require antibiotics prior to dental appointments. If you are not sure whether you require them, please contact your physician or our office prior to your visit so we can help you.
Radiographs are necessary for our evaluation. If you have had previous x-rays taken, please provide us with that information. Our goal is to create a comprehensive dental care plan just for you. Our digital x-rays are 90% less radiation than film x-rays.
We may also use intra-oral photographs and study models of your teeth. We believe that our in-depth examination process is the foundation of quality dentistry.
